Incredibly versatile machine!
  • Early and cost-effective stubble preparation
  • Cost-effective seed bed preparation
  • Shallow tillage
  • Stimulates germination of weed seed
  • Levels out wheel tracks and irregularities in the seed bed
  • Early soil tillage, allows earlier preparation for sowing
  • Converts organic material in the soil into valuable humus
  • Ideal for planting small seeds such as grass seeds, rape seed and even wheat and barley
  • Large capacity ensures maximum field time under favourable weather conditions
  • Incorporation of herbicides, fertilizer and artificial fertilizer is highly efficient

Weed Control

In the right soil types the disc chains can be expected to cut up to 100% of the weed free. The Kelly MPH's low-cost process makes it a highly attractive supplement to chemical control.

Seed weeds:
The harrow’s shallow tillage ensures optimum placement of the weed seeds in the top 2-5 cm so that no seeds are covered below 8 cm where germination is reduced considerably or is completely absent.

The soil is levelled to a fine, loose layer to ensure easy and fast penetration of the seeds.

The low-cost process makes it economically reasonable.

Root weeds:
The harrow pushes the soil ahead of the discs, loosening the soil round the plant so that it is pushed up easily before the disc makes contact. As a result, there are many root weeds with full taproots.

Both types of weed are left at the top layer of the soil where it is dried out by the sun.
